Tommy’s much anticipated expansion and renovation project has encountered a significant hurdle: City inspectors are currently running several weeks behind their scheduled appointments.
We understand the excitement surrounding our updated facilities, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate these logistical challenges. And…we are open! This set back has not changed anything with our normal operating hours or service! WE ARE OPEN!
While the full scope of our renovation will unfold in phases, we are thrilled to announce that our brand new, dedicated private event space is now slated for an anticipated opening in January 2026. In the meantime ⬇️

In 2011, the Galveston Bay Foundation partnered with Tommy’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Clear Lake to begin recycling oyster shell from the restaurant to be used in restoration projects in Galveston Bay.
